This area lies north of Highway 7 (and the Coquitlam Centre Mall) and west of Pipeline Rd extending to the municipal boundary of Port Moody, just to the west. This area includes the neighbourhoods of Westwood Plateau, Westwood Summit, Summit View, Upper Eagle Ridge, Eagle Ridge, Scott Creek, Canyon Springs, and North Coquitlam.

The shipping most accessible is Coquitlam Centre, on Lougheed Highway

Schools

This area in Coquitlam has 7 elementary schools, 2 middle schools and two secondary schools, and is home to the Coquitlam Campus of Douglas College.

Recreation

There are a several large parks and natural areas on the Westwood Plateau above David Drive, as well as the Westwood Golf Academy. The City Centre Aquatic Centre and the Evergreen Cultural Centre (with theatre and art gallery) are located the Town Centre area, along with the 20 screen SilverCity Coquitlam movie complex adjacent to Coquitlam Centre. This area is primarily single family homes, with some higher density apartments clustered around Coquitlam Town Centre. Since the 1990s, most development has occurred in the second-growth forested area known as Westwood Plateau,
