This area is north of downtown, between Highway 97 and Okanagan Lake, extending basically from Knox Mountain to the Kelowna Airport. These neighbourhoods have a population of about 30,000 residents. These neighbourhoods are 10 minutes from downtown and 20 minutes to the hospital or airport.
Glenmore covers from downtown to the city limits, east of Highway 97. Glenmore includes St. Andrews Drive area, High Road area, and Mount Royal and Clifton Road Developments. The neighbourhood of Glenmore is away from the busy downtown, but still close to recreational amenities. North Glenmore is located west of Dilworth Mountain, north to the north boundary of the City of Kelowna. Dilworth Mountain is a subdivision that is spreads over Dilworth Mountain, giving it a unique personality many great views.
This part of Kelowna is served by 4 elementary schools, a middle school (with French immersion), and must commute to Kelowna Secondary School on Raymer Ave (off of K.L.O. Road).
Many residential areas in North Glenmore are in walking distance to at least one of the three shopping centres Theer are a number of medical services (of great interest to retirees), and lots of restaurants, pubs and entertainment. Very close-by are Orchard Park Mall, Orchard Plaza, Costco or Walmart.
These neighbourhoods have many parks and playgrounds, sports fields, and are close to the Brandt's Creek/Glenmore Valley Linear Park recreational pathways for hiking, biking, and walking. The neifbhourhood is also close to the Kelowna Golf & Country Club
Glenmore has many homes from the 1980s and 1990s that have a mid-range price. There is a mix of Single-Family-Homes, condominiums, and townhouses. There are also some with superior views of the lake and valley and are priced in the higher range.
Dilworth, north of Highway 97, has some older homes that were built in the 1990s, but has many newer homes. They are primarily single family homes, though there are condos and townhomes within Dilworth as well.
