Thornhill has 63,000 residents and is in between Markham and Vaughan, nestled between Steeles and the 407 ERT highway. The part west of Yonge is in the town of Vaughan; and east of Yonge is in the town of Markham. Thornhill is a bedroom community for the Greater Toronto Area.
