One of Saskatoon's more sought after areas. It's the most northern residential area on the eastern side of the river. The area is made up of new homes of various sizes. It numerous hiking and biking trails have helped cause Silverspring to be the fastest growing community in Saskatoon. A great amount of time has been put into the area with the beautiful landscaping and greenscaping. A major mall has been in the planning for the area, and should be ready by 2002.
Schools The area only has two schools though, both elementary, with a Catholic high schools south south of the area, and the public high school a bus ride away. Shopping Until the mall comes in 2002, the most convenient shopping is located on 8th St. with Grosvenor Park Centre, Plainsmen Plaza and College Park Mall. Recreation The massive Silverspring Park has many biking and hiking trails it surrounds the Forestry Farm Park and Saskatoon Zoo. Homes This is a new residential area with beautiful homes and more being built. The price range is pretty wide with homes costing anywhere from 80,000 to 200,000. Community Map
