Located on the west side and south end of the city, this neighbourhood is
surrounded by fields on two sides and industrial areas on two others.
The neighbourhood is older and quite unique, and still has a number of large lots remaining.
Initially the area was built with subsidized homes for Second World War veterans.
Since then, many of the homes have been redeveloped boosting their value.
The proximity to the Train Station to the south is an interseting benefit to the area.
Schools
The community has one public and one Catholic elementary school.
Shopping
Heading north on Circle Dr. for a few minutes we'll bring you to one of Saskatoon's better shopping centres, including Confederation Mall and Fairhaven Plaza. 22nd St. has many shops and plazas, leading to the Riversdale shopping district closer to the river.
Recreation
There are several small community parks, the William Reid Park just to the north, and a curling club. To the east is Holiday Park golf course, and Gordon Howe Park with an indoor rink, a speed skating oval, and a runing track.
Homes
Originally the majority of homes were constructed for World War Two veterans, but recent redevelopment has bumped prices up as high as $220,000. Homes in the area start at $88,500
