  • This community, nestled between Victoria Ave on the north, College Ave on the south and Arcola Ave on the east, is one of the older ethnic neighbourhoods in Regina. The houses here are older and smaller, but generally well cared for. The homes have mature gardens that are well tended, and the neighbours are quite friendly. The community has a mix of residents including retired people and young couples. Regina General Hospital is on the western edge of the neighbourhood.

    Schools
The community has one public elementary, two Catholic elementary, a public library, with two High Schools (one public, one Catholic). SIAST has its St Johns just to the west, and University of Regina is quickly accessible via Broadway and Broad Street, or via Arcola and the Highway 1, which cut across Wascana Lake.

    Shopping
Shoppers generally head either to the downtown Market Square area or to the Victoria Square shopping centre, with its "category killer" stores, just a few kilometres away. The area's grocery needs are met by Extra Foods on Broadway Avenue.

    Recreation
This community is in the middle of a range of recreational opportunities. There is an ice arena and an outdoor pool, and the Tartan Club (curling) is just southwest of the community. To the south is Wascana Park with the Douglas Park sports centre (with a track and well-lit ball fields). The Saskatchewan Science Centre and Kramer IMAX Theatre are also in the Wascana Park. Just to the south and across the lake is the Wascana Trail recreational pathway. The Wascana Waterfowl Park is a tremendous natural area on the southern edge of the community.

Homes Homes in this area are mostly smaller detached older homes. House prices range from $15,000 to $65,000.
