Albert Park grew in the post-war expansion of Regina and has a mix of 40-year-old larger homes as well as 1960s era apartment buildings. New Albert Park has homes that are 10-15 years old. The community is quiet, with many homes in cul-de-sacs.
Schools
The community has two public elementary, a Catholic elementary, a public library (in the mall), and Campbell High School is across Albert St. The University of Regina and SIAST's Albert South campus are close-by.
Shopping
Shoppers generally use the malls conveniently on Albert Street, Southland Mall is right on the edge of the community, and includes the public library and a movie theatre, while Golden Mile Centre is further north.
Recreation
The community has a Leisure Centre, and ice arena, and just a bit to the north a rugby field. The community is dotted with small parks, and is about two kilometres away from Wascana a Centre and the Wascana Waterfowl Park.
