  • This community is on the north shore of Ramsey Lake, centred around Minnow Lake, but extending up to Kingsway (Regional Road 55). This community includes the neighbourhoods of Brodie, Minnow Lake and Adamsdale. The community has easy access to both downtown and Highway 17 East and the South West Extension. Some of the housing in this area is about 30 - 40 years old, but some is younger than that. The area has single family housing as well as town homes, co-ops and some Ontario Housing communities.

    Schools
This community has three Catholic elementary schools, on e public elementary schools and a public school board high school. Cambrian College is to the north of the community, and the francophone College Boreal is to the north west. Laurentian University is a short commute around Ramsey Lake.

    Shopping
Along the northern edge of the community are Kingsway, and the Falconbridge Highway, which have many smaller shops and services. A little further north is Lasalle Boulevard, which has two large shopping malls, as well as many of the larger "category killer" box stores. Liquor, beer, and grocery stores are relatively close-by.

    Recreation
The community has large undeveloped lands in and around it, including stretches along Ramsey Lake. To the east is Moonlight Beach park, on the eastern tip of Ramsey Lake, and to the west is Bell Park, the city's focal point and showpiece. The community is home to Carmichael Arena, as well as four community-managed outdoor skating rinks. The city-run Adanac ski hill is just to the north, across Kingsway. To the west is the Sudbury Curling Club.
