Neighbourhoods: Big Bend (Burnaby)

This community overlooks the Fraser River, and lies south of Marine Drive. The area has a number of industrial properties, located close to the river and area rail lines. It has good access to SkyTrain service to other parts of Greater Vancouver, and is not far from Burnaby's Metrotown area, yet is a quiet and relatively isolated area.

Homes

This area is mostly single family housing with some semi-detached and multi-family townhouses and condos.

Schools

Burnaby is also home to two major post-secondary institutes: SFU and the British Columbia Institute for Technology (BCIT).

Shopping

The area is close to shopping around Metrotown and in New Westminster.

Recreation

This area is close to shopping and theatres in both Metrotown and New Westminster, and has a number of larger parks both along the Fraser River and various ravine parks leading to it. The neighbourhood is includes a golf course and the Riverway Sports Complex
