  • Anmore is an unincorporated village of under 2,000 located north of Port Moody, with just a few rural houses and some stores, with the big attraction being Buntzen Lake, which is a reservoir for BC Hydro but has a beach and family picnic area. Anmore is served by the C26 TransLink bus that runs along Sunnyside Rd and East Rd

    Shopping
    The is a small rural store in Anmore, but most residents head into Port Moody for their serious shopping.

    Schools
    Anmore residents attend schools in neighbouring Port Moody.

    Recreation
    Anmore is home to the Buntzen Lake recreation area, which has a popular swimming beach. Managed by BC Hydro, the lake is used to power two hydroelectric stations located on Indian Arm.

    The village's zoning is for one house per one acre, keeping rural densities. New developments in the village are for large homes, and Anmore's property values have increased by an average of 35% since 2005-- the largest property value increase anywhere in B.C.
