The three communities of Prince Rupert, Queen Mary and McDougall lie between the rail corridor (and Grant MacEwan College) and the Municipal Airport. This community is mostly 40-year-old single family homes, with newer homes being built on existing lots and on recently re-zoned railway lands. On the eastern edge of the community are two hospitals and a shopping mall. These neighbourhoods are close to downtown, and have become much more desirable since airline jets stopped flying into the "Muni." Kingsway Ave on the north edge of the area provides fast access to the rest of the city and to downtown. The Southside can be reached quickly via 109th Street and the High Level Bridge.

    Schools
This tiny community has three public elementary schools, and one Catholic elementary, and has Victoria Composite High School on its eastern edge. The University of Alberta is a few minutes away by LRT and the Grant MacEwan College is on is north east edge. The public library's main branch is easily accessible by LRT.

    Shopping
Area shoppers generally head to Kingsway Garden Mall, or into the downtown, with its several shopping malls (all joined by the indoor Pedways). 107th Avenue also provides a cluster of shops and restaurants.

    Recreation
The area's "L" shape is built around a park that is also home to the Central Lions Senior Citizens Rec Centre. There is an outdoor pool on the southern edge of the area, on 104th Ave. The River Valley pathway system is accessible via 116th Street.
