  • Tuscany and Tuscarora are south of Crowchild Trail, and west of Stoney Trail. Stoney Trail connects the community to the Trans-Canada Highway, just west of Canada Olympic Park, and will soon be extended eastwards to the Deerfoot Trail and the Trans-Canada eastbound. in 2008, Calgary transit will extend the Northwest LRT to nearby Crowfoot, speeding transit time to downtown commuters.

    Schools
    Public board students now have a new school in the community (until 2007, they were bused to Marion Carson in Varisty, or Parkdale Elementary on 32nd Street N.W.), Montgomery Junior High on McKay Road N.W., and Bowness High on 77th Street N.W.

    Catholic pupils attend St. Sylvester Elementary in Silver Springs, St. Vincent De Paul Junior High in Varsity, and St. Francis Senior High on Northmount Drive N.W.

    Shopping
    Crowfoot Town Centre, off Nose Hill Drive, is thea area's largest retail cluster and has a Safeway and Revy, restaurants and several auto dealers. A retail area is located on the northwest corner of Tuscany Way and Tuscany Boulevard.

    Recreation
    The area has and extensive natural ravine system and a creek, and includes a native archaeological dig (by the University of Calgary). There are two ball diamonds and a soccer pitch on a 14-acre school board/city joint-use site. There is also a water feature/skating oval, basketball court, a pair of tennis courts, a tot lot, patio, picnic area, and gazebo. The community includes a 170 acre natural ravine system. There is a new Tuscany Club for residents, with a 16000 ft recreational facility, hockey rink, skating pond in a 6 acre park, as well as other sporting areas. The area is close to a multiplex movie theatre at Crowfoot Plaza, and there is a golf course in the SW corner of the development.

    Homes
    Tuscany and Tuscarora construction began in 1997. This community has a range of new homes available including single family homes (Baywest, Beattie, Cardel, Cedarglen), estate/executive hoesm (Albi, Landmark), apartment condos (Knightsbridge) and bungalow villas (Cedarglen). There are some multi-unit townhomes west of Tuscany Way.
